Silver Snake Press is a small independent publisher based from Aotearoa/New Zealand but with a global reach and outlook. Our mission is to publish beautiful books with heart, helping authors who have a life-affirming and useful perspective to humanity get their message out into the world. We go for quality over quantity. We only publish work we personally like and that we think makes the world a more thoughtful, feeling, honest and kind place, and then we commit 100% to the editing, production and design process.

Our philosophy is that a book represents a relationship between the author and the reader, and so we aim to publish work that enacts the most nurturing and empowering relationship possible. To be published by us, an author must first and foremost be motivated to make life richer, wilder, and simpler for their readers. In other words: by love.
